In the depths of winter, find your own light.
As Matariki approaches, nature invites us to do what this season has always asked of us: to slow down, look inward, and reconnect with what matters most.
This is your invitation to answer that call.
Join me for a small, hosted walk in nature, held in the heart of the Kaimai-Mamaku forest near Te Aroha.
A day to step out of the noise, breathe winter air, and come back to yourself: intentionally, and in good company.
The experience
We will spend the day walking through the beautiful Waiorongomai Valley, a place of deep stillness, native forest, and remarkable history. The pace is easy and unhurried, with plenty of space to pause, notice, and reflect.
In the spirit of Matariki, a time for remembering, for gratitude, and for setting intentions, I will offer a few gentle prompts along the way. Nothing heavy or forced. Simply an opportunity to use this turning point in the year to gain some clarity on where you are, and where you want to go.
There will be time for quiet reflection, as well as natural, meaningful connection with others in the group.
You will leave with a sense of lightness, perspective, and renewed direction.

A note from me
Matariki has always felt like the new year I actually want to celebrate.
Not with fireworks or resolutions. But with stillness, with honesty, and with a willingness to ask: what do I want to carry forward, and what am I ready to leave behind?
This walk is a space to do exactly that. Among the trees, in the quiet of winter, with a small group of people who are ready for the same thing.
If that speaks to you, I would love you to join me.
