The Greenstone Caples Track is a fabulous addition to the Routeburn Track, one of the NZ Great Walks. Come with me on this EPIC three day, two night SOLO adventure, hiking from Lake Howden to the trailhead and Greenstone Shelter. Prior to this I had walked the Routeburn Track out to Lake Howden and carried on to the Greenstone Track, completing an epic five day solo backpacking trip.

Enjoyment: 8/10 loved this walk.

Fatigue: 9/10 very long days

Ease of terrain: 3/10 tough with the weather
