Itinerary
Day 1: Kathmandu to Paro Flight
Your first day of the tour begins with a scenic flight to Paro from the Tribhuvan International Airport ( Kathmandu). Get to see the most awe-inspiring vistas of sacred Julmohari and Jichu Drake Peaks during flight. It will be an amazing experience, upon reaching you will be picked up by the guide and transferred to the hotel. Then after some times have lunch be ready to visit a Dzong, once a fortified lookout tower that is now the National Museum. Observe the ancient paintings, armours, philatelic displays and “field of Buddhas”, which helps one to visualize while meditating. Next visit Kichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the country. Overnight in the Hotel of Paro.
Day 2: Paro - Thimpu
Today, the journey takes another adventurous hike to Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) Monastery, the most famous monastery in Bhutan. It is absolutely breathtaking, situated at 10,400 feet and perched on the edge of a steep cliff about 3,000 feet above the Paro Valley. Guru Rinpoche (great spiritual master) is said to have flown on the back of a tigress to meditate in a cave where Taktsang Monastery now stands. Lunch is served in the Cafeteria Restaurant, located about halfway up the mountain. Explore the monastery and hike back down to the valley floor. This evening you transfer to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Overnight in the Hotel of Thimpu.
Day 3: Thimpu - Paro
Enjoy your breakfast and take a hike to Wangditse Monastery. You will be walking from Radio Tower on a leveled trail amidst pine forests with an amazing view of north Thimphu Valley. Along the way, you will also have an opportunity to see Takins — a unique national animal that is found only in the Himalayas. You will also get to see the Memorial Chorten (built-in memory of the third King of Bhutan who reigned from 1952-1972), Changangkha Monastery, Nunnery temple, School of Arts and Crafts (also known as the painting school) and Folk Heritage Museum. See the majestic Tashichhodzong and giant Buddha statue on a hill overlooking Thimphu which is reputed to be the largest Buddha Shakyamuni in the world. Then later in the evening transfer back to Paro. Overnight in the Hotel of Paro.
Day 4: Paro To Kathmandu Flight
It's already time to say goodbye to Bhutan. Make your last moment in Bhutan memorable with a tasty breakfast. After that, you can stroll around the city for a while, go shopping or just relax in the hotel/ a coffee shop and vividly recall the memorable moment you had during your Bhutan sightseeing tour. Before 2 hours when your flight launches, our representative will meet you at your hotel and escort you to the Paro International Airport. Your Bhutan trip ends.
