When I first stepped onto the trail towards Everest Base Camp, I promised myself I’d savour every moment. The quiet mornings, the endless horizon of peaks, the laughter over warm tea and even the wobbly breathless moments at altitude.
I filmed these daily vlogs as a way of remembering what it actually felt like to be there: the sound of yak bells echoing up the valley, prayer flags fluttering against a sky so sharp it didn’t seem real and the growing sense of “we’re really doing it”.
This series isn’t a polished travel documentery, it’s our real journey, step by step as we head to Everest. The highs, the challenges, the little moments between the ‘big’ ones.

Everest Base Camp Trek – Day 1🇳🇵

Day One on the Everest Base Camp trail! From the very first steps, we were greeted with stunning Himalayan views, charming villages and the warm smiles of fellow trekkers. Every moment was filled with anticipation, laughter and the thrill of the adventure ahead.
This is just the beginning of a journey that will challenge us, inspire us and stay with us forever ✨
Everest Base Camp Trek – Day 1🇳🇵

Yak and mule trains winding along the trail, swaying suspension bridges over roaring rivers, and those jaw dropping Himalayan peaks at every turn.
Day 2 on the Everest Base Camp trek did not disappoint! The trail challenges and delights with every step, and arriving in the vibrant village of Namche Bazaar made it even more special. Adventure and awe at every corner! 🇳🇵🏔️
Everest Base Camp Trek – Day 2 🇳🇵

Namche Bazaar, where the real journey begins. Off season, it’s a quiet Himalayan village of around 1,500 locals but in trekking season it transforms into a buzzing mountain hub filled with climbers, yaks, and the energy of the Khumbu.
An acclimatisation day here isn’t optional, it’s essential. Climb high, sleep low becomes the rule that carries you safely deeper into the Himalayas.
From sunrise over the ridgelines to the warm hum of Sherpa culture, Namche is the heartbeat of every Everest adventure. One day here, and the mountains start to feel a little closer. ✨ 🏔️
Everest Base Camp Trek – Day 3🇳🇵

From Namche Bazaar to Tengboche, one of the most beautiful and challenging days on the Everest Base Camp trail. Deep river valleys, brilliant Himalayan sunlight, prayer flags in the breeze and then the big climb that tests us with every step.
But reaching Tengboche Monastery, surrounded by peaks and quiet chants, makes it all worth it. It’s the kind of day that challenges and then rewards you with pure magic. ✨🏔️

But the real heart of this day? Teahouse life. Warm stoves, ginger lemon honey tea, simple meals, shared stories, and a kindness that makes the mountains feel like home. By the time you reach Dingboche, the air is thinner, the views are bigger, and everything slows down in the best possible way. 🏔️✨

Up here in Dingboche, you finally learn the golden rule of the Everest Base Camp trek: go slowly.
The air thins, your steps get heavier, and patience becomes your superpower. Today is our acclimatisation day, climb high, sleep low. Hiking the ridge for big views, then returning to rest, hydrate, and breathe. Up here, slow isn’t weak. Slow is how you reach Base Camp. 🏔️✨

From Dingboche to Lobuche, the trail turns peaceful and silent under blue skies and fresh white snow.
Every step feels deeper into the Himalayas. A quiet pause before lunch at Thukla Tea House, then the climb to the Everest Memorials, a powerful, humbling place honoring climbers lost to the mountains. Reaching Lobuche feels like Base Camp is finally within reach. 🏔️✨

From Lobuche to Everest Base Camp, the trek becomes real in a whole new way.
The air thins, the trail climbs over the rocky Khumbu Glacier, and every step feels slower but stronger. The mountains close in, the world grows quiet, and then the sandy plateau of Gorak Shep appears. It’s the final stop before Everest Base Camp and the dream finally becomes a reality 🏔️✨

From Gorak Shep to Phakding, it feels like we’re flying. As we lose altitude, we move twice as fast, breathing easier with every step. Huge views, bright sunshine and fresh snow made the whole valley glow.
The group is buzzing, happy, relieved, and so grateful after a successful Everest Base Camp trek. The trail home feels lighter, louder, and full of celebration. 🏔️✨

From Phakding to Namche Bazaar, the trail comes alive again with forests, warm air, and autumn crops being harvested along the terraces.
We cross the river again and again on swingbridges and pass handmade arts and crafts laid out by local artisans. The trail back into Namche Bazaar feels familiar, but this time we arrive stronger, grateful, and full of stories 🏔️✨

From Namche Bazaar to Lukla, the final steps feel emotional.
Warmer air, forest trails, village life, and the quiet reminder of how much of a privilege it is to walk in the Khumbu. My third time hosting an Everest Base Camp group tour, and the real heroes remain the same — the guides, porters, families, herders, and teahouse hosts who make this journey possible.

Saying goodbye to our Khumbu friends is always emotional, guides, porters, and teahouse hosts who made this journey unforgettable.
Then comes the Lukla takeoff: a sharp drop off the runway and a soaring climb through deep valleys as the Himalayas fade into cloud. All too soon Kathmandu comes into view and the adventure is over. A part of us will always stay in the mountains. 🏔️✨
